Opening the batting, Muneeba Ali created history by becoming the first Pakistani woman to score a T20I century. Her powerful innings of 102 off 68 balls, which included 14 boundaries, gave Pakistan the perfect platform to build a competitive total of 165/5 in 20 overs.
She was ably supported by Nida Dar, who contributed a valuable 33 runs, as the duo stitched together a century stand that turned the momentum firmly in Pakistan’s favor.
Ireland Falters in Run Chase
Ireland’s chase never got off the ground, with early wickets and disciplined bowling from Pakistan proving too much to handle. Despite short bursts of resistance from Orla Prendergast (31) and Eimear Richardson (28), the Irish side was dismissed for just 95 runs in 16.3 overs.
